The story behind the name
If you were living in ancient Rome, chances are you’d know someone named Titus, a popular boy’s name. Deriving from the Latin titulus, meaning “title of honor,” Titus was the name of a Roman emperor in the first century and the main character in the Shakespeare play Titus Andronicus. Tituss Burgess of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt adds an extra “s” to his first name, which gives Titus a more sassy feel. Whichever spelling you go for, you’ll have baby Titus feeling like a king.
