The story behind the name
A classic Spanish name derived from the Hebrew Peter, meaning “stone” or “rock,” Pedro is all about strength, tradition, and loyalty. This dashing appellation has athletic undertones, judging from the baseball stars with the name, such as Pedro Martinez and Guerrero. Also prominent in the arts, Don Pedro (aka Prince) is the Prince of Arragon and an influential figure in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
