Leyla is a girl’s name of Arabic origin. This enchanting name translates to “night”, often given to babies that were born nearing or after the midnight hour. It tracks all the way back to the Middle Ages and is in part famous due to the Arabic legend of Quys and Layla, a story of two star-crossed lovers whose passion easily rivals Romeo and Juliet.
